Munich Christmas Market
Munich's original Christmas market has been held on Marienplatz since 1972, with roots dating back to the 14th century. This year, 138 traders and food stalls present a variety of Christmas gifts, including glass pictures, woolen shoes, games, jewelry and honey. Festive Christmas tree decorations, lighted stars and straw stars are also available. The program traditionally includes Advent music from the town hall balcony, the Krampus run and the sky workshop for children.
