...you will feel it everywhere at the Hotel Obermaier. This is due to our roots and our wonderful Bavarian homeland. Hospitality has been a venerable tradition here for more than 700 years. As early as 1859, the famous poet Wilhelm Busch stayed at our hotel; over the centuries, the former farmhouse became a romantic hotel with an inn and beer garden. The listed property has been family-owned since 1863, and today Markus Obermaier and his wife Maria are the 5th generation to run the traditional hotel. The family atmosphere, hospitality and tradition have remained, while the spacious main building has added a modern touch since 2019.

Our beautiful Trudering district has its very own urban charm: here, city and countryside come together in a friendly way. Right next to our hotel in the quiet, historic town center you will find small stores, restaurants and, of course, a supermarket. Thanks to the perfect underground and S-Bahn connections, getting into the city center is quick and easy!
Thanks to our prime location in the east of Munich, many of our guests are business travelers. In order to make their business stay successful and pleasant, we have paid particular attention to personal service. We are always happy to help and advise on request. For small meetings, we recommend our spacious lobby, where you can also work with your laptop in an inspired and concentrated manner. Our Bavarian Stüberl or the conference room offer more space. But you can also discuss business in a relaxed atmosphere over a drink or snack at the hotel bar.

Familiar and personal
Our historic property in the heart of Trudering has been in the Obermaier family since 1863. What began as a farm has evolved over five generations into the hotel we are today—rooted in tradition, personal, and yet always evolving.

Traditional house
In this traditional hotel, you can choose between 53 rooms in country house style, cleverly complemented with new box-spring beds for a restful night's sleep and practical technology for work and relaxation. Here you will also find our bright breakfast rooms and the popular Stüberl, which is ideal for smaller meetings or private events.
Main house
The main building impresses with its contemporary, cosmopolitan ambience combined with the usual Bavarian charm. Look forward to the inviting foyer with bar and quiet seating areas and a total of 66 rooms and suites with top facilities. The fitness room with a total of 12 high-quality machines can also be found here.
